British National Championships 2021

The past two years have been extremely hard for everyone. Lots of players lost their pre-lockdown sporting momentum, fitness level and fighting form. After a long break getting back into the ring has been challenging for our team. However, in a very short period of time we have managed to prepare the team!

Our small team of six players took part at the British National Championships in Copper Box Arena, London 7th November 2021. Four out of six of our players are very new to the advanced black belt division, however they have played well in all their respective matches and gained tremendous experience. Overcoming pressure of the big venue and nerves, we managed to bring back three medals (1 Gold and 2 Bronzes).

Two of our players were called up to the GB squad for 2022 season in Junior Female category. Now, it is time for us to learn from our mistakes, and train to overcome any shortcomings. Bring on 2022!
